Converter Box Says No Signal
Mark recently posted a question.
Converter box says no signal. I have purchased two of the rca converter boxes with the coupon program and have tried to hook them up to my tv s. Unless tv must have some type of antenna or something. I have electric rabbit ears and connected through the rf plug. When i hook them up i get the message no signal.
I can shut off the box and watch my usual channels fine but if i unplug the antenna wire i get nothing. Try to keep the length of wire between your antenna and digital to analog converter box or digital television as short as possible for best reception. I assume that means the antenna is working. Issues that bring about no signal and how to fix them.
Thanks for any help you may have. I got 2 converter boxes one a magnavox and tried them both. All of the converter boxes have a channel scan feature as part of their set up. Splitters used to connect a single antenna to multiple digital to analog converter boxes or digital televisions reduce the signal strength to each device.
I live in the saint louis area and without the converter just using my rooftop antenna i get a good picture on several channels. I thought that was referring to the satellite signal and even with sat box and all disconnected it still says no signal. If you haven t done this already go into the converter s menu and have it scan for channels. I only have my tv and dvd player hooked up and it still says no signal.
But then i try to find stations and it says no signal. Check out reviews of 32 inch tv at productspy co uk. So we shall be running through likely reasons why your tv is showing no signal before proffering solutions to it.
